Each year that passes reminds me of how fortunate I've been to have another year, learning and experiencing the beauty of the world around me. On my birthday, I value looking back on all the things I learned in that past year.
As I enter my 41st year, I'd like to share with you; what I believe were important realizations for me over the past 365 days.

Here's my top 12:
-Being wrong is not a bad thing. The ability to say you were wrong, tells you you're ready to grow. Holding on to a false belief for the sake of not admitting your wrong is destructive to your growth.
-Every now and then you have to step outside the familiarity of your comfort zone, if you haven't found what you're looking for in all of what you've seen and done; you're going to have to look some place new.
-Opportunity will present itself in places you least expect it. Change can be right under your nose, but you won't see it if you're too busy and not paying attention.
-What seems to be the most insignificant decision can change your life. Everything means something.
-All the small things we do accumulate to make huge differences. I think it's the huge differences that are so powerful that we can't believe they're the result of such miniscule acts. Manage the small things to make big changes.
-People protect their beliefs and go to great lengths to find evidence that supports them, but conveniently ignore that which refutes their understanding.
-People make up their minds about things far before they have adequate information.
-The blind can lead the blind for a very long time unless someone has the courage to simply ask, "why", and bring light to the ignorance and obscurity.
-Smiling at strangers makes me feel happy.
-The veil of ignorance was lifted from me, and there on the grocery store shelf was "Quinoa"! Thank you Central and South America for this seed of the gods!
-Most pain and injuries can be resolved with corrective exercises.
-The greatest limiting factor in our lives is the labels we put on others and the labels that we hang on ourselves. Once you stop judging others, you'll be more capable of accurately judging yourself.
This year I tackled one particularly limiting belief. I set out to begin to put everything I know into writing but I hesitated because it seemed beyond my ability. Thanks to the encouragement of a new friend who came to me in a place where I least expected ; I allowed myself to be proven wrong, I stepped out of my comfort zone, I removed a label that held me back, and I created betterme.
Thank you to all my faithful clients who believe in me and allow me to share in their lives.

Good list! Looking forward to next year's.
Happy B-Day Sean and many Happy Returns!!!! Dianne b
I'm sure you'll help me come up with a few ideas! This is going to be a great year.
If we keep up with all this betterme stuff, we're both sure to have many returns, or at least enjoy each day that we're blessed with.
